Datalogger Comparison

Do note that this checklist, although fairly comprehensive, does not cover the subtleties of the different types of loggers. We recommend that you contact our team, with a combined experience of over 70 years in the temperature measuring field, to get advice and recommendations, specific to your needs.

This table is quite large, and thus has been split into two.

Notes

Construction

Polycarbonate is stable in water, alcohol, oil, salts and weak acids but adequate care should be taken as it can become cloudy, swell or dissolve in alkali, armoatic hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, etc. Printing on the casing may be damaged by alcohol.

Polycarbonate is long time temperature stable up to 115 °C. It is highly weather resistant and may be left outdoors for prolonged time with little effect on properties.

The sanitary properties are good and meet the sanitary standards of FDA (USA) and is acceptaed for contact with food by the Japanese health authorities.

The casing's resistance to some chemicals is reduced at elevated temperatures (>60 °C) . Please enquire if in doubt.

Cleaning: Either soap and water. Alcohol can be used with care but may damaged printing on the casing. IP68 loggers can be placed into a dishwasher.

Accuracy

The accuracy listed is for both the sensor and unit combined, not the unit singly.
